OMEN / Poem by Jelene Roque Mogollon

Poem by Jelene Roque Mogollon

OMEN

If I knew that without love you love me.
I would find you in the nothingness of my soul,
in the Ada of my empty dreams
in the sleeping hours of warm afternoons
that swallow the late minutes

If I knew that without love you love me
I would find in the light that you radiate
the look of your quartz eyes,
the tenderness of the iris that sprouts crying
and covers with his robe of fennel.

If I knew that without love you love me.
Restless glances would entangle
to the swaying of your sleeping waters
in the wild naps off
to the lullaby of the broken voice.
