The Bomb
I am
a nuclear bomb
I know I’m powerful
and destructive
But the weapon
of mass destruction is religion
Who’s going to deal
with that ticking bomb ?
The Supreme Being
made you to love
You flipped the coin
to the side of hate
Who says I’m potent ?
I was mistaken
I flattered myself
I am just a pawn

I don’t need the light to recognise my shadow
My Shadow –
It doesn’t vanish in the dark
It stalks me like a secret service agent
Wearing my borrowed plumes
Disguised in mufti
Always on laborious duty
I smell it’s pervasive dominating outline
Defying my pure Aura with its blackened visage
I hear it’s silent footfalls on my timorous heart
It never lets me be in peace
Changing shapes and sizes with the haughty sun
It sneaks up in front and then startles me from behind
It jumps all fences and facades to be by my side
If only it wasn’t you who broke my heart
For no shadow could be closer to my body than you
It was my soul that was shadowless
Lonesome and widowed
Furtively looking for your invisible ethereal presence
Believe me , I don’t need the light to recognise my shadow

When you say you love me
A bower of blossoms blooms
Like a divine tiara over my aura
An aqua drop becomes an ocean
The earth dances in pink petals
The universe pauses in reverence
And Cupid stops to get back his breath
When you say you love me
