WhenYouWere Running Away
(To Flora Brovina)
”She has something adventurous and sad”,H.L.Borges
When I knew you
You weren’t as big as today
Then I was mixing the colors
In my silent paintbrush
I was also painting silent verses
AndYou my sister you haven’t noticed the sorrow
In my palm I was holding the pains
That were following me wherever I went
It was the freedom that were lack of
In verse and color
In our everyday beautiful and short events
We were looking at each other often while passing by
Although we never talked
We had the same pain
I haven’t stopped you whenYou were running away
On the streets through time to soften the pain
And I never thought
That someday
You’ll be missed on this Feast
In your place the poem speaks
And me my sister every single day
I paint your return
In touching of my body
On the parade I catch your runaways
