AFRIKA IN ME / Poem by Susana Roberts

Poem by Susana Roberts
Mother cradle, oh mother!
Feeding the zebus
I feel all your wounds
Your life, ripping annonymous bark
Solitude, tenderness
A free pigeon is my heart
In the orbit of your grief
Land of young souls
And so much deads
Today my face with yours
Under the big tree
Washed by the heat
Your thorns
Love, from desert to Congo
Growing grass in honey vessels
Small animals, legend inside golden Ghana
And Ethiopia empires
In the silhouette of my dance
Mother earth! Bida , God
I dreamt my return
My little being
Growing in the bamboo home
Centuries paths full of hope
Installed in the earthly melody
Since the unique
Harmonic sound of your drum.
