In The Middle Of The Road / Poem by NilavroNill Shoovro

Poem by NilavroNill Shoovro

In The Middle Of The Road

In the middle of the road
With the subdued sun overhead
And the busy traffic, flowing
Either side…too busy to notice
Someone like me
An idiot, nowhere to go…

It is just meaningless
Not to have any address
Not to have someone to reach
It is just meaningless
Not to have any purpose
Not to have someone to call

In the middle of the road
I would prefer to be left alone
Than to be noticed by anyone
In the middle of the road
It is better to remain in peace
Than to wage war against lies

It is just meaningless
To look for any direction
To step in the chaos of life
It is just meaningless
To look for someone like me
To wait for an end of the road

In the middle of the road
With the pages of histories,
Shuffling, with the
Memorandum of peace
With the cries of the victims
With the whirlwind of time

It is just meaningless
To count every words of the oaths
To listen every promise made
It is just meaningless
To hope for any turnaround
To dream any miracle either

In the middle of the road
Whenever I look at myself
I see none, rather a nothingness
In the middle of the road
Whenever I notice something
I see nothing, rather a nothingness

It is just meaningless
To look at myself
To find any truth about
It is just meaningless
To walk more steps
To proceed farther, even…
