Poems by Huguette Bertrand

Poems by Huguette Bertrand

Outside as in inside
the light is everywhere
in our crevasses it creeps in
and shines in the shadow of torments
in brushwoods of every day life

it is poetry in lowlands
as on balconies
acts in the memory of the essential

it is written
it is recited
it is sung
in all tones
in the now
and always in the never
under our untidy steps

No need to look for it
she’s out there
and inside
she is

Flows the peace among clothes
carried by all tides
Flow silent tides
up to inner solitudes
Flows the solitude among the glimmers of beauty
Flows the beauty of all learned languages
in the secret complicity of words
Flowsg the complicity of words
approved by desires
Flow desires paired
to fermented verbs
Flows the fermented verb
in echos
in space
in ecstasy
