Recovering in Green

A world in ashes, trees burning in hell
Our future a museum, not doin’ so well
Politics meets science, funeral at birth
Rotating flat side, hate spinning earth

Sunshine in a storm, temps now rising
Problems in bit parts, inaccurate sizing
Propaganda in spades, innocent a tool
Ignorance perhaps, a society so cruel

Our leaders divide, silent sound blast
Money their colour, divided into class
Irony in protest, fuelled by their cause
Hey let’s slow down, time for a pause

Poverty educates, collective think tank
Measured approach, with results blank
Recovering in green, money from trees
With sheep grazing, our cycle to please

 Apocalypse – a rambling …

Progressing backwards, at almost every turn now. With tunnel vision progress that speaks of division and self-centred bias of our idiocies.

Complaining about our plight while promoting it with our very own actions. Laughing at misfortunes of others, while charitable in our false personas.

Darkness that speaks with no face, as we hide behind our warrior keyboards, in the hope of scoring a fault accolade. Sharing shallow victories with fault pretences, using knives to cut away morals and dignity.

We are but a lost era of regret. Falling like soldiers using our marbles as guns. Self regulating our goals written in the blood of our victims. We are sorry and lost. Warmed by ignorance that fed our backwards progression to the point of little return.

Society monitored by greed and power, forming and moulding us into unpaid robots for their selfish purposes. Yet we subscribe willingly in a way that makes sheep smile at the footprints engraved in such a straight line.

Then there was nothing …
