The deeper I delve into the mysteries of the sea,
The more it opens up its hidden treasures to me.
The deeper I delve into the depths of my heart,
The further it makes me an inner journey chart.
The deeper I delve into the recesses of my mind,
The greater am I led to discoveries of a new kind.
Waves after waves keep emerging from the sea,
That keep hitting the shore with a nonstop glee.
My heart is a melting pot of feelings sizzling intensely.
My mind is a beehive of thoughts buzzing constantly.
Hitting waves, sizzling feelings and buzzing thoughts,
Are incessant and also keep tying themselves in knots.
I sit on the seashore watching the waves rising and falling.
I sense my heart and mind yearning for an unusual calling.
Raging like a fire
Charts its own course
Treads its own path.
Raw and unabated
Evades a closure
Burning and scalding
Refuses to diffuse
Flashy and blinding
Painful and grinding
Follows its own destiny
FIND PEACE WITHIN …
Where is peace to be found?
In this world that’s round,
I end up where I started;
Another attempt thwarted!
I search for peace within
Amidst restlessness and din
Of disappointments and chaos
Of so much sorrow and pathos.
I searched for peace everywhere
But just couldn’t find it anywhere;
Within me, outside of me,
No, peace was not to be …
Then I saw the smile of a child –
Innocent, guileless and so mild!
I looked up at the vast blue sky
And birds flying freely and high.
That’s when I felt peace descend
Within my being slowly, gradually …
The child’s smile, the vast blue sky,
And chirping birds – all real, no lie!
