Rock ( Kamień) – Eliza Segiet / Translated by Artur Komoter

Poem by Eliza Segiet

Rock

She flashed in your life
like a point from everyday life.
Why did you delude her?
You pretended to be a diamond,
when you’re just a shard
that hurts.

You’re not a diamond,
an amber,
not even a shard.
You’re a rock!

Translated by Artur Komoter

Kamień

Mignęła w twoim życiu
jak przecinek od codzienności.
Czemu ją łudziłeś?
Udawałeś brylant,
a jesteś tylko szkłem,
które rani.

Nie jesteś brylantem,
bursztynem,
nie jesteś nawet szkłem.
Jesteś kamieniem!

  1. La pietra

    Ha brillato nella tua vita
come una virgola nel mezzo della tua quotidianità.
    Perché l’hai ingannata?
Stavi fingendo di essere un diamante,
    ed eri solo vetro,
    che fa male.

    Non sei un diamante,
    ambra,
    non sei nemmeno un vetro.
    Sei una pietra!
