The Story of The Scarf / Poem by Epitacio Tongohan

Poem by Epitacio Tongohan

The Story of The Scarf

im out after the fall

i unearthed the mystery of the delicate shapes
of the colorful flowers, caringly grown
along the valleys and alleys of the temples,
& i saw it withered. died. gone…

so i borrowed the left-over scarf of a fool
where cockroaches and rats remained
standing on the edge of time

to remind me
of its fragile beauty
