Poison Ivy / Poem by Monika Ajay Kaul

Poem by Monika Ajay Kaul

Poison Ivy

The heaps of my drab dreams laid somewhere,
You arrived and touched to make them alive.

From the lost pages of nothingness
because of you, the art and the muse was born.

From the voices of silence, songs were heard;
blind sights could see the colours near and far.

You opened the impossible knots
to release me, the real me.

My new wings found a breeze
To flutter.. Perhaps to soar and fly.

You made me drink, the elixir of desire,
but you knew, love has a taste of Poison Ivy.
