Poem by Floricelda Camejo Hernández
YESTERDAY
I carry a treasure chest
kept in my heart
My first lullaby smelling
a milk from my mother’s breasts
The antics of me
first and only childhood
So many memories of friends
Hail on rainy afternoons
The clear moon combing
the hair of the starry sky
that tells my story
in the arms of the wind
The kisses of that way
that is lost in my memory
embracing yesterday.
Wonderful wordcraft. The economy of words makes it more beautiful. I wish you more success.
