SOLACE ON THE SKY / Poem by Ugwu Leonard Elvis

Poem by Ugwu Leonard Elvis

SOLACE ON THE SKY

Give my flesh some thorns of praises
Sink my soul in the abyss of solace cages
For I was wrapped in cloak of ages, singing pages
Thinking myself the company of sages

“Loves” and “likes” like wrapped packages
Hanging my shoulders to the sky in pride
Visual bard with “likes” and “comments” as a bride
In a deceptive space where crime becomes storages.

Silence broken, tears cracked,
Sometimes, visuals
can be a tool of personal deception
And my flesh the drum of praises.

….
