GRAND DAUGHTER’S BIRTHDAY / Poem by Manthena Damodara Chary

Poem by Manthena Damodara Chary

My grand daughter turns eleven
Enrapturing all the worlds seven
Sai Sree Varshini.springs a smile
Bettering the world without guile

She has affluently angelic charm
Her grandeur keeps hearts warm
She creates calm.amidst a storm
Her gaiety removes pain like balm

Manaswini, young grand daughter
Sports all day long lively laughter
Vinod Rathna, grandson has mirth
On blissful day of his sister’s birth

Manaswini asks for birthday cake
The smallest easy chair do shake
When she sways to rock with glee
In jubilant mood without any plea

All angels sprinkle on her flowers
Which blossom in all the bowers
May grand children rise to glory
Scripting their stupendous story

( The poem is penned keeping in view the auspicious occasion of the birthday of my eldest grand daughter SAI SREE VARSHINI
on 01-06-2017.)
