Poem by Jagdish Prakash

Poem by Jagdish Prakash

***

Raw and unpolished
Like stones on a pavement, well trodden
Life’s contours like a un hewn rock
Solid yet unshaped
Rubbed against chiseled words
Of your poems
They melt
Into fragrant wax
Of a wick lamp kept on the threshold on a windy day
Waiting for the monsoon of love.
