Mask / Poem by Sunita Paul

Poem by Sunita Paul

Mask

Take off your mask while talking to me
It’s the true face which I want to see
No hidden lies
Show me your real eyes
Don’t play the games anymore
It makes you ugly to the core
One day when your mask falls off
Remember that’s where your falsehood stops
You don’t even remember your real face
That’s where you lose the race
Your two faces will lead you nowhere
That day your soul will be bruised in each layer
