My hands held
Your eyes
As tears snuck
By …

Holding you close
With one
As the other
Absorbed the
Pain …

Pieces of your
Lie evident in my
Palms …

even still …

To see them

My hands , aged
as years pass
too quickly ,
Slower they
Move , to the same
Magical beat

Wrinkles only connect
The scars
Tell true stories
Of my life …

A smile to linger
Reflecting the joy
Of a mother’s
Pride …

Full circle
We have come
Now ,
gathering pain
Of your own …

I catch a tear
But this time ,
Mine to

Sweet Memories in
A mother’s hands

Un Twine Me
Un Hide Me
Let loose
The chains that
Bind Me

Un Hurt Me
And find Me
Un Earth
My tears
And Re Wind Me
