Poem by Dr. Alok Kumar Ray
While you were sleeping
While you were sleeping
The whole world seems
Stand still without any liking
While you were sleeping
Night sheds hot tears
Dew drops stop gossiping
While you were sleeping
Light begs for salvation
Darkness seems overwhelming
While you were sleeping
Snoring puzzles, you murmur, laugh
Create an ambience of socking
While you were sleeping
Sky mourns with heavy sigh
Clouds seem not floating
While you were sleeping
Dreams gather undue toughness
Paramours start weeping
While you were sleeping
Insomnia engulfs all
Blame all you for sleep’s stealing
Why were you sleeping
We become peerless vagabonds
Even air seems not blowing.
