Poems by Baki YIGIT

AFTER SEPARATION

A train has taken your beloved
From now on you keep pulling all this
A broken dream ignites your soul

You’re helpless you have your fill of extinction
You’re like a desert plashless cloudless
You carve your troubles on your heart

An unfinished story in your memory
You put your eyes on the station
A forgotten song on your lips

You cannot get to tomorrows without hope

SELEPAS PERPISAHAN

Keretapi telah membawa cinta mu pergi
Mulai sekarang, engkau membawa segala bebannya
Mimpi yang musnah menyalakan jiwa mu

Engkau tak berdaya dan mula merasakan kematian mu
Engkau seperti padang pasir tanpa percikan air tak berawan
Kau ukir segala masalah di hati mu

Cerita tidak berkesudahan dalam memori mu
Kau terus memandang kearah stesen
Lagu yang telah dilupakan bermain di bibir mu

Kau tak boleh sampai ke hari esok tanpa harapan

DAY BY DAY

We’ve been tambouring worry for along time
We’ve forgotten to laugh, striving for our life
We’ve been enlarging hate in us

We’re deaf even to the warmest hellos
Suspicions has left its scent on our most unlikely inside
Our hearts are ice blocks

And darkening doldrums in all of us
Day by day we take a dislike to life
How cheap death is

HARI DEMI HARI

Sekian lama kita memalu rebana kebimbangan

Hati kita dingin seperti ketulan ais

Dan ketenangan makin menghitam di jiwa kita
Hari demi hari kita semakin benci kepada kehidupan
Begitu murahnya harga kematian
